from not far away on the Marine Parade. As we sat at a table, I said "That's a nice evening light", Tilly said "Don't you want to sketch it?", I said "No, don't want to bother, too difficult..." but grudgingly set about it.

Golden Cap looks down on Lyme
From Lyme Regis, you see Golden Cap as just the most prominent in a line of distant cliffs. But from the top of Golden Cap, you seem to be looking far down on Lyme as from an airplane.
Charmouth is at the angle of the bay; Lyme is at the mouth of the next valley to the left, the very end of Dorset.
