Marching or stumbling into April

Tomorrow, Sunday March 29, will be Palm Sunday, the first day of the week leading to Easter Sunday.

It will also, if you are in Britain, be clock-change day, requiring you to twist your clock forward one hour, to the summer-long “daylight saving time” that “saves” no time but misrepresents natural Sun time.

The change is supposed to be made at 1 AM on Sunday, so that all machines and artificial intelligence will be in agreement. Those with natural intelligence will do it on Saturday before going to bed; some, refusing to be fooled, keep at least one clock on the saner standard time.

  1. I think most Iranians are happy with the Big Bang.
Happy April, even though April showers bring concrete ants to my humble basement home under my office. Fewer of them if I keep my home sparking clean. Too small to carry outside unharmed so must vacuum them :(
